Recitals
We hold an annual Spring Recital in June. Every class prepares a unique routine to showcase during the Recital. This event is eagerly anticipated by both our dancers and instructors. Each class will wear a costume carefully selected by their instructor.
In the links below, there are photos and prices for your dancer's costume for the June 2025 Recital.
Please note: We'll share more details about the Recital later in the season.
Costumes are organized by class day and time (multiple pages are attached).
Costume payments were due by December 7, 2024.Late payments after December 7th will incur a $20 fee PER costume.

This is for picture day AND recital. Dress rehearsal & recital will be held at Wheaton High School
*Company dancers will perform their company dances in both Recitals for their location (OSD/DSD dancers will perform in both shows, and WSD dancers will perform in both shows).
*Advanced/Lower Advanced classes will perform in both Recitals for their location (OSD/DSD dancers will perform in both shows, and WSD dancers will perform in both shows).
*If you are an assistant to any classes, you are also expected to attend dress rehearsal and Recital to help the instructor with your class.
*Everyone is expected to attend dress rehearsal.
*All accounts balances must be cleared for dancers to participate in the Recital.

- Price: $24 each
- Sizes: Available in Youth sizes XS to XL and Adult sizes XS to 4XL. (Please note: All products are considered classic fit, so we recommend sizing up for a looser fit.)
- Design: Features the "Emerald Dreams" logo, dancers silhouette, and "Recital 2025." (See attached image for the design.)

Picture Day
Picture day is back and better than ever! After a fantastic return last year, we're excited to continue the tradition of capturing our talented dancers in their dazzling Recital costumes. This exciting event gives everyone the chance to preserve their class memories with both group photos and striking individual shots. These photos will feature your dancer in their recital costumes that were ordered in December. We will begin handing out costumes prior to picture day dates in May, so everyone will be ready for their close-up!
Please note: There will be no regular classes held at a location on the day that picture day is scheduled. This allows us to dedicate the space and time to capturing these special moments.
Whether you prefer group photos or striking individual shots, we’ve got you covered. And here’s the best part: you can conveniently purchase these delightful dance memories during the recital dress rehearsal—a true one-stop shop!
Please arrive 5 minutes early to your scheduled time slot to ensure you are ready for your group photo. We run on a strict schedule, and we will not be able to take another group photo if you miss your assigned time. Individual photos can be taken throughout the day if your dancer cannot attend their group slot.
Dancers must arrive in full costume with hair and makeup done with the correct color tights and shoes. All dancers will need CAPEZIO ULTRASOFT tights (the colors vary, so please check the list for your class). Everyone must wear tights with their costume.

*Dancers may not wear any jewelry, nail polish, or undies(the tights have a lining in them, and undies stick out on the side of the leotard, so this will prevent that)
Hair must be pulled back into a bun with a part over the left eye.

Remember, practice makes perfect! Practice on your dancer when you can as this will also be the required hairstyle for Recital/Dress Rehearsal.

MAKEUP: While makeup isn't mandatory for the pictures, and/or Recital, we strongly encourage dancers to wear some. The bright stage and camera lights can often wash out natural skin tones. To help features stand out under the lights, we suggest applying at least blush or bronzer, mascara, and lipstick in shades that complement your dancer's complexion. This is just a helpful suggestion, not a requirement.
